At SMK Meister, we understand the challenges of modern installation work on steel girders. With more than 50 years of industry experience, we have developed the TKM Kroko bracket — a revolutionary solution for quick and secure attachment to double T-beams. Our patented TKM bracket combines innovative technology with maximum functionality and makes complex drilling or welding superfluous. The steel beam clamp sets new standards in professional fastening technology and impresses with its unique crocodile interlocking, which firmly bites into the steel beam during installation. With VdS and FM certifications for sprinkler systems, we guarantee the highest safety standards. Our state of the art machinery makes it possible to produce this bracket for double T-beams with the highest dimensional accuracy. Whether for pipes, ventilation ducts or lighting systems — the TKM bracket offers you maximum flexibility during installation.
Mechanical steel beam clamp with crocodile serration
Clamping range 20-26 mm depending on the model
galvanized steel, optional stainless steel
HEA, HEB, IPE steel beams (parallel & tilted up to 14%)
2 kN to 10 kN depending on the version
VdS approval, FM approval for sprinkler systems

The innovative crocodile interlocking of our steel beam clip firmly bites into the flange of the steel beam when driven. These steel teeth guarantee a twist-proof fit, even under continuous load and vibrations.
With the bracket for double T-beams, you can significantly reduce your assembly time. The clamp is ready for use within a few seconds — without complex preparatory work or special tools. This lowers your project costs sustainably.
A key advantage of the TKM bracket is that you can screw in the threaded rod before installation. This makes it easier to work in hard-to-reach areas and significantly speeds up installation.
Our steel girder bracket meets the strict requirements of VdS approval and FM approval. It has been specially tested and approved for use in fire protection systems and sprinkler systems — for maximum safety in critical areas.
The bracket for double T-straps fits all standard profiles such as HEA, HEB and IPE. Both parallel and inclined flanges up to 14% inclination are reliably detected.
1. Pay attention to the thickness of the carrier.
2. Observe the shape of the carrier. Parallel (left) or with inclination (right). The support thickness must be at least 8 mm and may have a maximum slope of 14%.
3. Drive the TKM wedge as far as possible by hand (read zero position). The wedge must always be placed below the flange.
4. Use a hammer (approx. 500 g) to break in the double wedge so that both sides support evenly. Drive in the wedge (without destroying the workpiece) until no further drive is possible.
The VdS certification confirms the suitability of the steel girder clamp for stationary fire extinguishing systems in accordance with German fire protection guidelines. FM approval (Factory Mutual) is the international approval, which applies in particular to pipes up to DN 200" in sprinkler systems. At SMK Meister, the TKM 2, TKM 3 and TKM 4 models have both approvals.
Yes, this is a major advantage of our TKM bracket. You can pre-assemble the threaded rod on the ground and then attach the entire assembly to the support. This makes overhead work much easier and increases assembly efficiency.

To properly assemble the TKM bracket, all you need is a standard locksmith's hammer (approx. 500 g) and a suitable open-end wrench for the threaded rod. Optionally, the threaded rod can be screwed in before installation. First, check whether the flange thickness of the steel beam is within the allowable clamping range.
Position the steel beam bracket with the crocodile teeth over the support flange. The wedge must always be placed below the flange. First press the steel beam clip against the beam by hand until the scale is zero. Then hit the double wedge evenly with the hammer so that both sides of the double-T bracket support evenly. For parallel flanges, the scale should show at least 3 tick marks.
After assembly, check the scale on the wedge — it serves as a visual confirmation of the correct installation. The TKM bracket may only be loaded perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the support. Check that the fit is tight by shaking gently. The crocodile serration should grip firmly in the flange.
For us, quality is not a promise, but a proven standard. Our ISO certification proves that we consistently comply with the highest quality requirements in all areas of production — from sheet metal processing to fastening technology.
You can rely on us — not only when it comes to quality, but also when it comes to appointments. For over 50 years, our customers have known that we keep our promises. Timely delivery is not a bonus for us, but a natural part of our service.
As a family-run company, we respond quickly and unbureaucratically to your requirements. Short decision-making processes and an experienced team enable us to reliably implement even short-term orders, special solutions and changing requirements.
Our product portfolio in fastening technology is constantly growing — driven by real practical requirements. Whether tilting dowels, heavy-duty folding plugs Big M or Balkonfix: Many of our products were developed in close cooperation with customers and are the result of decades of development work.
Our mounting solutions are not only tried and tested, but are also officially approved and tested. This gives you products that you can blindly rely on in safety-relevant applications, such as in construction and façade technology.
Standard solutions are a good start — but not always the best answer. We take the time to understand your specific requirements and work with you to develop tailor-made solutions in sheet metal and fastening technology.
The steel teeth of the TKM bracket firmly grip the support flange. Unlike smooth clips, this interlocking prevents any twisting.
The scale on the wedge shows the flange thickness of the support used. After turning in, parallel flanges should have at least 3 dividing marks. This guarantees the proper installation of the steel beam bracket.
No, the steel beam bracket does not require any additional fixing screws. The crocodile gearing in combination with the wedge principle creates sufficient holding force. This distinguishes our bracket for double T-beams from conventional solutions and saves considerable time.
Yes, the TKM bracket can be easily removed by pushing back the wedge and reused elsewhere. This makes the steel beam clamp particularly economical for temporary installations or modifications.
The bracket for double T-beams is approved for flange inclinations of up to 14%. This is in line with standard IPE profiles. If you have higher inclinations, please contact our technical service for individual solutions.
The TKM 4 beam clamp has a nominal load of 10 kN and achieves breaking load values of 20 kN. It is therefore the strongest version of our steel girder clamp and is ideal for heavy pipes or ventilation ducts.
All you need to install the TKM bracket is a locksmith hammer weighing around 500 grams. To tighten the threaded rod, you need the appropriate open-end wrench. No special tools are required — a clear advantage over other mounting systems.
